Dark Mode reached 10 more templates

The roll-out that started in June carried straight through July, across two waves. Each of these templates now includes a one-click sun / moon toggle, automatic detection of the visitor's system preference, and a remembered choice for returning visitors - while your existing light design stays exactly the same.

That takes the running total to 23 templates with built-in Dark Mode since the roll-out began. Switching it on is a single template update - your content and settings stay exactly where they are. Prefer light only? Leave it: light mode remains the default and untouched.

Joomla MCP: manage your site by talking to an AI

The biggest new thing in July wasn't a template. Joomla MCP connects your Joomla site to an AI assistant - Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini - so you can handle everyday website work in plain language instead of clicking through administrator screens.

Ask it to publish an article, tidy up categories, find a piece of content or check what changed, and it does the work against your real site.

We have been following the release dates closely ever since Joomla 3.1 first announcement was out and played with all of the Beta versions including the recent Beta 5. Last night Joomla announced that the T3 Framework for Joomla responsive templates will be officially integrated into the upcoming Joomla 3.5 distribution with an early alpha release with Joomla 3.1. This is fantastic news, as 6 years ago JA Purity won the Joomla Template Contest and now its our template framework, the day is not far when all Joomla templates will be based on our T3 framework.

At JoomlArt we are very excited about this and have already started working on early integration of T3 framework with the Joomla 3.1 release scheduled April 15th 2013. We have been thrilled ever since this idea was introduced after the release of Joomla 3.1 during last years World Joomla Conference held in San Jose, California. T3 Framework is the best of the best Joomla template framework especially for the responsive templates for Joomla 2.5 and Joomla 3.0 and is the best solution for ease of use and its ability to personally customize each template to a previously unthinkable level of detail.

Final Joomla 1.6 Template Release - JA Templates Plan for Joomla 1.7

We are happy to roll out JA Edenite as last of the upgraded template for Joomla 1.6, based on the JoomlArt T3 V2 Framework. July will see regular Joomla 1.6 template being released. August onwards, we shall have templates for Joomla 1.7 and all Joomla 1.6 templates will be taken up for upgrade to Joomla 1.7 and once completed, we shall resume the upgrade of older templates to Joomla 1.7.
