No links or images possible in Modules ?!?

Hi support team,

I can't create links or add images in any of my modules anymore. I use the latest version of the Simpli template and of Joomla too 3.8.12.

Edit : I actually loose everything as soon as I start modifying something, for example I wanted to change the logo and now it's gone. Before updating the template not long ago, I was able to make changes, create links and add images just fine.

I did make some changes in the template today and noticed this after doing the changes. However, I went through the whole template, step by step many times but couldn't see anything that would keep me from creating links.

I tried internal links, external links, linking to menu items and articles, images nothing works. Just text. And also not headers or other attributes.

What have I done to screw the modules? It's also not in the modules options.

If you want to test, please use the module Welcome. I'm going to work on other things until this is fixed.

Can you please help me fix this and let me know what the solution is? I really want to make sure I don't screw them when I use Simpli next time.

PS, the website will move in the root folder by Thursday night when it's ready, that's why it's in a joomla3 folder for now.

Having tried to replicate the relative issue, The same works fine for me after changing editor from default - TinyMCE to codemirror as I have added link and image in the module mentioned. Ref: Screenshot

You may review and try the troubleshooting steps for workaround here and as suggested, may change the editor

So I can see that it works with CodeMirror, but that cannot be a permanent solution for me, I really need a WYSIWYG editor. I don't mind toggling back to the code editor sometimes manually from the module but those times are the exceptions.

I don't understand why this was working before and suddenly stopped working. Can it be fixed?

I just installed JCE, images, links... work now, but of course it's missing the Options tab that TinyMCE had. So I can't modify the article options anymore 😓. Also not in the front-end, even if I select to show Options in the Configure Edit Screen tab. Is there a way to change the individual article options otherwise?

Well, it doesn't solve the problem of the logo not appearing. So I removed it and saved, added it again and saved again. But the logo still doesn't show up.

Any idea what's wrong here?

fairyjo Hi. If HTML is being stripped in TinyMCE than I believe it is a problem with configuration. I would try with a fast workaround and install a different WYSIWYG as for example JCE.

I found what I did wrong with the logo, I was tired last evening, late, when that happened I didn't notice I forgot the px after the logo size. The template is very sensitive. I'm really happy I found out by myself 🙂

Now, I still need to find a way to modify the articles options individually while using JCE. Any idea?
