JA SOCIAL II : ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

At the beginning of the creation of a new website with JA Social II + Jomsocial, there is an issue repeating often, especially whan trying to log in / log out / register.
Message : ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS
Is there an issue with the version of Joomla (3.8.6) ?

No need to test for the moment, I'm trying to reinstall Joomla without upgrading it.
Hope it will work.

Actually, I reinstalled the quick install package, and did not update Joomla this time.
So the Joomla running version is 3.8.2, which is the one in the package (instead of 3.8.7 which is the latest one).

There is always the "ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS" error, especially when :

Trying to log in : I have a blank page with the warning above. Then I have to go back and I'm logged in. Then 2 notifications appear on the page : Message : Login successful // Notice : Login failed
Logging out : I have a blank page with the warning above. Then I have to go back and I'm logged out.

Can you please try to fix this ?
I would also prefer to be able to run Joomla 3.8.7 instead of 3.8.2

Hi
I created Jomsocial menu item in the main menu and configured Jomsocial system redirect plugin.
Kindly check the login and logout now.
Its working fine.

Try to take a full backup of your site before updating.

Or you can clone your live site to a dev or local site and upgrade there first (just in case).
