Modules not displayed with sidebar module enabled

Good evening,
I noticed that several module positions are not displayed when I have the side bar enabled with a module in that position. This occurs on our current development site as well as on a clean fresh install.

Two module positions that we need to have displayed but not working (not being displayed) with sidebar are:
- Breadcrumbs
- content-top

I can create custom positions to force the breadcrumbs to show on pages we need it, however I would prefer not to do that else it means readding those in when there is a template update.

If there is something I missing, a setting in the modules or template layout setting, please let me know.

Module positions are not displayed because they are not available in the Default layout of template

Breadcrumbs

It is showed in navhelper block - so to have it working you should create a navhelper block in your template layout

content-top

It is the same as content-mast-bottom block - duplicate block and then assign it in the position you like and rename it as content-top block and assign modules to that position.

Good evening and thank you for the reply. I apologize if I am not fully understanding your reply.
Part of my confusion: The breadcrumbs and content-top are displayed on any pages that are not using the sidebar position with the default layout.
See: http://test.ifstudios.us/tech for example of breadcrumbs working.

Do I need to add a new position somewhere for these to be displayed only when I am using the sidebar?
Are the available/displayable module positions different from a standard layout without use of the sidebar positions?

sarrene Hi. it depends from the template style used. Some template styles do not use all the positions. I'll try to help make all of them usable in template styles used by You. Please attach an access to joomla panel and ftp.

sarrene Hi. Sorry for delay, lost my computer due to battery failure and was not able to help with this problem with the replacement computer I got. Was trying to take care of it right now, just to notice that the login credentials are not working. Can You please update it so I will be able to proceed?

Not a problem, It has been a rough week here as well, including dealing with a Microsoft Win10 update and external drives. <sighs>

I checked and it seems to be working okay, however i did reset it again to the same info.
