JA System Social Feed Plugin - 'Missing appid or pageid'

Hi support,

I have installed JA System Social Feed Plugin in our staging site and setup the Facebook Application.
I get the 'Missing appid or pageid' error message when I clicked on the 'verify' button in the JA Social Feed plugin.

Joomla backend -> extensions-> Plugins -> System - JA Social Feed -> Configuration -> Facebook -> insert the facebook id and click on the verify button.

May I know what caused this problem?

biswebteam Hi. It means exactly what it sais. You need to generate an api and fill it in the configuration please check those videos https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=facebook+api+key&qpvt=facebook+api+key&FORM=VDRE to see how to get it, for the page id i think it can be the last part of the url of the facebook page.

Thanks for your info. I've clicked on the 'verify' button -> 'Log in With Facebook' -> 'Continue as ...', there is an error message '(#100) Tried accessing nonexisting field (access_token) on node type (User)'.
Can you please help to advise on this?

biswebteam Hi. Where are those fields? You need to "Login TO facebook" in order to generate the facebook api key than copy this key in module's settings. Next think will he a facebook page id, so facebook will know where to look for the articles.

Hi, yes, I've added Facebook App ID and App Secret.

Then, click on the 'Log in With Facebook', it shows '(#100) Tried accessing nonexisting field (access_token) on node type (User)' error message.

biswebteam Hi. Och I thought You meant the results. Please look at the configuration closely: https://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-plugins/ja-social-feed#facebook-settings As teh error states Access Token is missing which means it's not configured correctly.

Hi, I've followed the steps in https://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-plugins/ja-social-feed#facebook-settings but still facing the same issue.

After I clicked on the "Log in With Facebook" button, it shows:
"Invalid Scopes: manage_pages. This message is only shown to developers. Users of your app will ignore these permissions if present. Please read the documentation for valid permissions at: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissions"

Then, I get the "(#100) Tried accessing nonexisting field (access_token) on node type (User)" error mesage after I clicked on the "OK" button.

biswebteam Hi. I understand, but I've just tried to configure it on my copy of Feed plugin and haven't got that message, so I still suspect something is missing in configuration. Anyway to exclude a possibility of a broken/corrupted file or having old version of plugin please reinstall plugin and see if it makes a difference.

I'm afraid next step would be for me to look into Your Facebook settings, so we would need to schedule a Skype session (my login on Skype is "teitbite") so I would be able to look it up during screen share.

biswebteam Hi. That's strange, I do not see Your invitation in Skype. Are You sure You have selected "teitbite" and not "teitbite.com"? The second one was created for my old company and is inactive for years.

biswebteam Hi. Maybe a skype call won't be necessary after all. When I was explaining Your problem to Pankaj he has noticed that in order to use Facebook ID, facebook requires website to be using https. So He thinks that may be actually a problem You are facing so You cannot connect.

Please note you must be owner of the facebook page that you are trying to add on JA Social feed plugin.
As i can see the error there is ownership issue in your sceenshot when you are trying to verify the page.
Submit the complete site login details so we can make a test on your site.

You are trying to add a facebook profile not Page.
Kindly add a facebook page profile id .

Ninja Hi Pankay, I've changed it to Page ID but I get another error message "(#10) To use 'Page Public Content Access', your use of this endpoint must be reviewed and approved by Facebook. To submit this 'Page Public Content Access' feature for review please read our documentation on reviewable features: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/review."

Should I submit 'Page Public Content Access' for Facebook review and approve?(Which is not included in documentation.)

The notification is for Facebook for your page that is pending to be live,
Once the page is ready, you need to add the correct facebook page name/id in socialfeed plugin http://prntscr.com/l3edna
After that you need to verify the page.

Ninja Hi Pankay. I've changed the Facebook Page visibility to "Page Published" and Facebook App set to "live" but still showing the same error message.

In this case its something related to your account setting on facebook. for testing i added a test category and you can see facebook feed added on test category from joomlart.
I need your facebook account login to check the page, Add it in the first post edit fields.
So i can add some content as well on the page.
