Frontpage not showing (Features Intro)

this is very easy:
for example you can see it in youre own demo version here

I want to use the "features-intro" for the index (home) page
and
the "default" for all other pages.

here is youre own documentaion and i have done all as you wrote but dont work.

michael001 I have tried the similar steps outlined in documentation in my local install and it works fine when we perform steps outlined for Build Home Page

Kindly try to re-install the template again as I could see some files missing in your current install due to which layout structure also isnt seen in sub-tab layout for the duplicate template (Ensure to take backup if changes have been done)

michael001 Or better yet, Please install quickstart package as this will give you replica of the demo site which you can customize and configure further accordingly for particular extensions, layouts e.t.c.

I have delete the T3 plugin and the J_Social Template and reinstall both again but this wont help.

Maybe the template have a problem with Joomla 3.8 (7) ???

yes, but if i install the quickstart i need to build and create all from the beginning. And this means 5 days work is for a trash.....
Or is there a chance to copy the database tables?

It shouldnt be an issue as I have Joomla ver. 3.8.7 with similar template and it works fine

Otherway, Can I take backup of the site and try examine the same on local?

of course. Yes you can do it.
I hope you can find the failure. Sorry but i have worked so much and the template chrashed when i change the color in Theme Magic.

try it in a clean installation to please. Change the color and look what happened.

just give me a feedback if you find something.

I can help you. There is a bug in the template.
The reason for this big trouble is jomsocial. If you activate the chat function the JA_Socialize Template crashed.
I have deactivated the Chat in Jomsocial and everything works fine!
I use the latest jomsocial 4.5.1

Another Bug is, if you install Jomsocial to youre quickstart package, the jomsocial menu was NOT installed. So the jomsocial toolbar is empty. I have try to install jomsocial on a clean Joomla installation and this works perfect.

I think you need to publish an update for this template.
So this case is now solved.

I was deploying the backup on my local install through akeeba kickstart. Nice that the issue got resolved for you. Will try to replicate the issue as informed by you with the local install and will report this with dev. team if issue appears in order to fix the same with next version upgrade.

It will fix the issue.
The fix will be added in next version of Jomsocial.
