I am trying to install the quickstart JB Italian Quicstart J3 and it just sticks. It doesn't progress to the second page, Database. FTP and database credentails are included. The creds I want to use for the Joomla Admin are also included in the edit field.

arimakidd Hi. Please disable showing errors in php.ini file and try again. Sometimes joomla stucks when some warrnings are shown during installation waiting for the confirmation, but acctually user cannot see screen to do so. If this will not work please let me know.

Hosting support turned display_errors off and still no luck.

I have installed a JB template on this domain so I don't see how this would now be an issue. The main site is a JB template, Buildr. I am now installnig a quickstart in a folder off the mainsite. This issue has to be something deeper.

arimakidd Hi. This looks to be an issue with database. Wrong mySQL version, wrong PHP version or missing functions. Really hard to tell. If You have a different server and was able to install it successfully than try making a copy with Akeeba Backup and install the backup created with it. Not a very clean workaround but the database uploading mechanism will be different, so I believe it will pass.

What version of php and MySQL does it require?

You may kindly refer to this to know about minimum requirements although it is always suggested to atleast have stable php version running
