Any plans to integrate JB extensions with Joomla Update System?

Are there any plans to integrate JoomlaBamboo extensions with the Joomla Update System?

Hi Brian,

Good question - I don't know
The problem with the old Joomla Bamboo site was that its system made this impossible to do

I will ask tomorrow but any change will take some time given the work needed on updates

Thanks Paul. Certainly when it comes to extensions it would make things much easier if they could be integrated with the Joomla Update System.

I think template updates make me more nervous than any other. Most problems can be mitigated by turning off any caching systems, and clearing existing caches, but even so sometimes strange things can happen.

We are very happy that regular updates are now happening for JB extensions and templates.

Hi Brian,

Template updates from alerts can be dangerous as one click can override custom changes especially if changes are not done correctly and there is always the possibility of a security extension being a problem

For me personally speaking I'd be happy updating modules and plugins but templates are as you say a bit different.

I'll check with our system admin as soon as I can and will get back to you with an updated
