Sharethis - Support Central

I want to renew Ja Focus because I have developed a web page with this template.
I have a fault that only happens in Ja Focus.
I added the code for "Sharethis" and it does not work well.
Sharethis recognize the text but add an image of another article.
This same code works well in other templates without any problem.
In fact it is the first time in many years that I see a similar failure.
You will understand that I can not renew if the fault persists.
I hope you have considerations.

Hi,

At this moment, try to use an extension for Open Graph which helps to define unique image for sharing via social channel like facebook.

I will share this with the team for further checking.

Can you point me to a Joomlart site or another providers site you have that is working with og tags?

The template club you list doesn't display the facebook image on the templates I viewed and I tested on facebooks developer tools and I can't see any og tags listed in their source code

In returning to your problem I would suggest following saguaros's solution and install a plugin to add facebook og (stands for opengraph) tags to articles

Thank you for your kindness but I have decided to forget about Focus and Joomlart.
I will follow my projects with Rockettheme. Here "share" works without any problem. I can not be eternally waiting for the morning sky to fall.

I'm sorry for me,
I've lost several months trusting the focus template.
What do you suggest?
Buy extensions for focus to work?

Sincerely best of luck with rockettheme - I did test several of their template demos and they failed the facebook

As the templates did not include og:image tags

It is quite simple to add static facebook og tags but the images tag for example is dynamic and changes on every page

Hence why I would suggest a plugin

The cost for these plugins isn't much

If article does not contain any image, plugin will try to search /images/phocaopengraph/ folder for image which has the same name as article ID has (e.g. article ID=1 ==> 1.jpg). Regarding Google+ it should respect the og tags but it does require the image to be sufficient size

The documentation says this

So to test that you would add an image to this folder /images/phocaopengraph and name it the id of the article in article manager

I will try an example image in this extension to see if it works

In order not to lengthen this thread it is better to close it. I understood that it does OPen-Graph but I do not know why you have created an image for this and uploaded to the site.

Anyway, is Phocaopengraph-plugin enough?
This plugin is free, however your suggestion costs 19 Euros.
Now it seems that everything works with phocaopengraph.

The last question:
Is the current configuration of Phocaopengraph enough or should I change it every time I add an article with its respective image?
How do I close the thread? With the new menu, I do not know how it is done.

In the first post It can include exclusive information for moderators. How is it done from the second post?

Hi carlucci,

With the image I added - I checked the article and it displayed the wrong image so this was something to test on
So I added an image following the plugin's documentation which requires an image to be created in that particulare folder.

With the plugin it depends if you or the client are able to follow the steps (and have enough time) with uploading and naming the image with the article id

The access details added in the first post are private but information after that is public

I can close this ticket if you feel the problem is resolved
