GZip Compression in Pure JA Builder Site

I have built a straight JA Builder site, 4 pages only, and the biggest issue I am having is with GZip compression, even though I have it enabled in Joomla Server Settings, Cpanel & in my .htacess file.

Is there any way I can compress the CSS created by JA Builder without rebuilding on top of one of the Frameworks with this built-in, as I really don't feel like having to start over?

Since having done exhaustive searches for my issues, it appears GZip is enabled on my server, yet I am getting mixed signals about page speed, which has performed extremely badly across many testing services, including within Chrome Audit.

As this severely affects a website's search ranking, it is quite an important metric.

My only alternative is to rebuild this site using techniques I know are optimised for speed, which is a shame because I really enjoy the simplicity of this builder.

I understand this but at this moment, these resources are loaded from tool in cloud. There will be upcoming updates for JA Builder which can be a stand-alone package and these optimization issue can be solved also.

Thank you for the response, but what sort of time-frame are we looking at, because I would really like build using this platform but can't wait years - I need to implement solutions for my clients now?
