Hi,

I want to modify User registration page by adding new required fields. I've found out that I should modify, among others, user.php in libraries/joomla/user folder. However, I cannot find user.php in this folder. Is it moved somewhere else intentionally? Where is it?

Yes, that is exactly what I followed. However, in the tutorial they state that I should edit user.php file from the libraries/joomla/user folder.
And here is my question - there is no user.php in that folder ?!?

Uh sorry, I apologize. It is not the user.php which is missing. The whole user folder is missing.
There is no libraries/joomla/use folder. Where is it?!?

If you want only add new fields to your registration form you can simply use the fields option from users configuration in your backend.

Yes, I know that. But I want to add the Surname field which belongs to the required group of fields. Only way (as far as I found out) is to modify user.php and user.xml files in additions to the user database. My problem is I am unable to find libraries/joomla/users folder where user.php is supposed to be.

There is not such folder anymore on joomla , you can download latest joomla release and look at the libraries folder.

You should use custom fields for your registration page customization.
