Parallax Quick Start

I am trying to figure out how the images are selected in the Quick Start template called Parallax. I have the site running on my computer using MAMP. I have read the Template Instructions; it is quite difficult to get to the point of how this works. Here are a couple of screen shots... The first shows the settings for Grid1, which shows the background image is stated as 'inherit'. The second shows the Media folder that has the four images that are used in the template.
I would like some clarification on this

Yes, Saguaros...
It is the GRID4 template from Joomla Bamboo.
I am testing this on my local host server, using MAMP...

Hi Again...
I have figured out the issue referred to above.

However, I have another 'related' question that puzzles me.
The images in the Quick Start, Grid4 contained in the Media files are .jpeg
Whenever I try to upload a jpeg, it gets rejected... BUT, I can load .jpg files.
How can I change the conditions that will allow for .jpeg files to be uploaded to the media manager.

You can add the other file types as per the option outlined in this tutorial
