Hello all,
I may not have posted this in the correct spot but the tags were the closet I could pick from.
When you create a menu item that is a Category List, it lists all the articles in that category by the articles Title.
We have a company doing SEO work and they have changed some article titles that to me are a bit too keywordy for my liking and it just doesn't look good.
For instance I had an article with a title that read "Company Mission Statement" and another article title that read "Privacy Policy" and so on.
The SEO company has changed these article titles to "Cleaning Company, Mission, Bellevue, Seattle, Redmond" and "Privacy Policy, Bellevue, Seattle, Redmond" and so on.
so now the frontend category list looks quite spammy.
A little background -
I am rebuilding an old Joomla 2.5 website to the newest Joomla version and using the latest and greatest templates.
So with the old J2.5 version (which is the live site) I can go in to the article and under the Options tab in the Read More Text field I can enter the article title I once had - "Company Mission Statement" etc. and this is the text I see on the frontend menu item Category List.
Still with me? Hope I'm making sense here.
Now, with the newer and better versions of Joomla - using the Read More Text field does not do the same thing as it does with the J2.5 version.
I may end up going against the way the SEO company has changed the article titles but I am wondering - is there a way, an override or something I can do to display the text from the Read More Text field?
I've attached an image that will hopefully help visualize my above story.
Thanks.
