Ja Vintas VM Products module

Hi,
I installed Ja-vintas in my local host but the virtuemart featured products on home page is missing. On administration page, I can not find the VM-PRODUCTS position. Any solution for this issue?

Hi,

Did you install the quickstart package? We are not able to help without checking your website backend. Could you upload your website to any temporary online server and add credentials to this thread fields?

Thank you for your respond. Yes I install the quickstart package 3-x, but it is in my local host. I want to replace my current website template. So, I must edit it in local host first.
Any other solution for this issue? Or I should leave this theme?

wew671 Hi. Unfortunately We are not able to tell what can be wrong without a look at Your site. We are good, but not mediums 🙂 Please ignore this problem for now and let us know when site will be available to look at.

A things which can make VM products disapear can be a wrong language selection with products only translated for one language, products published on homepage while homepage has been disabled on some pages. maybe one of those 2 things?

I have noticed those issues already, on the back end of VM - Featured products module, its default position is position-4. When I scroll down the position options, there is no VM-PRODUCTS position (where its should be). Is there user guide for 3.+? the current guide is valid for Joomla 1.6 and 2.5 only.

wew671 Hi. Documentation for Joomla 2.5 is still valid. Please better check template's settings and layout tab since I do not remember module position called "VM-PRODUCTS". In layout view You will see all the available module positions You can choose from.

But I can not find it on the back end setting.

wew671 Hi. I do not think those are module positions, but naming of sections. What You can see in section called "VM_PRODUCTS" is actually a Virtuemart component with a view of featured products. Hope this will help.
