Articles pages can use a sublayout template style
So the solution to your question is :
1) Create a copy of your default layout naming it "default articles"
2) Change position name for sidebar-right - "you can manually add your position name "
3) Set your "default articles" layout as sublayout for main default layout
I created it for you , position name is sidebar-article , so if you want modules to be published in that position simply publish them in this new position.
