I try to explain my problem again. At the same time as the titles were disappearing, another problem arose. Maybe they are connected.
On the website https://sophie-scholl-schule.eu there are different menus for different pages in the position mainnav.
They have also disappeared.
For each menu there is a style in the template t3_bs3 . If I activate the preview there, they will be displayed correctly. But not in the frontend.
Is there an option that prevents this for all these menus?
Is there a place in a database where I can see the corresponding settings?
I will prepare a screenshot.

The menu for "Schule - Schulprofil/Schulprogramm" is missing in the frontend.

I tried to explain it in post4/10: There is no new menu in the frontend in position mainnnav , although the preview in the backend shows the new menu.
Not only the menus (except the main menu) but also the titles of the articles are no longer displayed.

Your menus are not correctly displayed because for some reason the mainnav block in template style is overrided from your custom position , so in any other template style different from your default other menus cannot be displayed correctly but only your mainmenu is always showed - i can suggest to reinstall template with it's core files and remove all your customizations done -

That sounds interesting! Is there a table in the database where you can replace "schulprofil" with "mainnav"?
Do you also have an idea because of the missing titles of articles?

I have another website (http:// geschichte.sophie-scholl-schule.eu ) that is much simpler. There are only two styles (see screenshot). On this website the menus work.
I have created a menu called "untermenü". I created a corresponding module in the position "mainnav" . I created a new style in the template and selected " Untermenü " as menu under navigation. In the layout is automatically " untermenü" entered instead of "mainnav".

It is not needed to create menu modules in mainnav position - you only need to create menus and then from template manager assign that menu to the template .

I am not using Megamenu. But I will try your advice.

I deleted all modules with the position mainnav.
In the position mainnav only the Main Menu appears in the frontend and never the menus which belong to the other styles.

We tried everything. New Joomla installation, but of course only over the existing installation. New template installation.
The error remains. We will move the other menus to the position sidebar-1. This works.
The problem remains that the titles of the posts have disappeared.
Is there a solution?
Can the settings be found in the database?

As suggested earlier by @saguaros, Can you add your ftp details in edit fields too in order to take closer look. You can add the details in format outlined below :

Site admin account
Admin panel username/password
Ftp info (host, user, pass)
Ftp hostname, username, password
