Update Zentools

I need to ask a really dumb question...
I have a couple of sites based on Joomlabamboo templates that use Zentools2 (1.1.4 & 2.2.5) extensions.
I have only just realised that Zentools does not update via the Joomla update routines and therefore my sites are well behind latest versions.
So how do I update Zentools2 (I can't find any documentation on this)?
Do I download the latest package and install via the Joomla install extension utility?
Am I likely to find any compatibility issues?

First to update it you should take a website full backup. in case you have problems with zentools and other installed extensions -

Thanks pavit, I think I'll set up a copy on a test site and try it there before doing it on a live site.

I've also got modules in the sites that were created with Zentools1 - is there a separate package to update this or would these have been updated when I installed the Zentools2 extension?

I'm updating everything in preparation for upgrading the site from php 5.6 to 7.2 so there may be a few things to test.

Hi,
I've updated the Zentools packages on one site and evrything seems to be ok but on a 2nd site, after upgrading the zentools2 package there seems to be a change to the way the custom css is applied.
I have a module that displays a grid of article content:
Image
Title
Intro text
Read more
The css tweak applied a border around the total content in each panel.
#zentools-1210 .zt-item .zt-item-container { / add border to zentools2 grid items /
border: 3px solid #900037
}
#zentools-1216 .zt-item .zt-item-container { / add border to zentools2 grid items /
border: 3px solid #900037
However, after upgrade, the border only goes around the bottom 3 items so at the moment the image is above the bordered content area.

Any ideas what I need to change?

Hi Pavit,
the middle panel is how it used to look. The content is specified in this order in the zentools2 module options. One of the joomlabamboo support guys gave me the css code to place a border around the panel (module id 1210). I'm fairly sure I created the custom.css locally and uploaded it to the root folder but I can't remember if I had to use "create custom css" within the module Theme tab too. If I select that now, it screws up other formatting.
The layout changed when I upgraded the Zentools2 package.
By the way, this is a live site - it's ok do do a bit of tweaking on it but if it's likely to be disrupted for any length of time I've also got a test version of it you we could play with.

Thanks for getting back to me. I copied & pasted your code to the custom.css file in the root directory but it doesn't seemed to have changed anything. Is there anything else I need to do?
Do I need to change the "CSS Handling" in the module's theme tab to "Custom". That doesn't work either but it does mess up other formatting i.e. turns the content text white.

... did you clear the cache of your browser?
Make sure that custom.css file is in the css folder of your template.

Hi, sorry, I was being dumb - I put custom.css in the route folder instead of the theme/css folder.
The border is now correct, around the whole panel.
However, there remains one small issue - the image background is different to the background of the other items in the panel (it is #f1f1f1 but should be #f5f5f5) Is this another teak to custom css?

...in this case you must add this rule:

    background-color: #f5f5f5;

to the one I gave you before.

In the end you must have this rule:

#zentools-1210 .zt-col.zt-col-12 {
    border: 3px solid #900037;
    background-color: #f5f5f5;
}

I remind you the path where the custom.css file should be copied:
/administrator/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/css/custom.css
