html filter?

Hi,
I need to insert in a column something that separates the two columns when they are in mobile mode and the two parallel columns become superimposed. Inserting <br> or <p></p> code it's deleted when I save, as if there is an html filter. Is it possible to disable this filter? Or another workaround to get what I want to do.
I add that sometimes the code is kept randomly, but it is deleted at the first editing.
