Language switcher module not showing anything

Created a language switcher module with language assigned to it. Published on the language switcher position. Place holder appears but I cannot see any flag or language related thing. How can I fix this?

You need also to create languages menus - one menu for each language installed on your website

If you are still having problems provide a super user account to your administrator page and an url for it , we will have a look at your settings
