edna-bonfim Hi. Please make sure to remove the old category from trash as well. Are You using any kind of SEF component? If yes than You may need to purge all the links created and connected with this old category.
Anyway I'm afraid this problem is related to joomla alone and not to any of our products, so I would advice to talk to joomla developers directly since they may already be aware of such cases.
