I can not get Jom Social to display using JA Builder.

I've tried everytthing I know how and I can not for the life of me get JomSocial to work with JABuilder. I add a page, add a module block then I have to select which module to be displayed and in doing so I get the parts I select. I can get the full view of the standard "home page". Also when I click on a link. Lets say the module I add is the JomSocial Menu or Toolbar, the links take me no where. The site link updates as if it's a new page but nothing. How is it something so simple is so difficult?

aman204 I've included the admin information. and the site is offline from the public while I worked to get this functional.

Thanks for the update. I checked the 'The Community' page and it's assigned with 'Flat' template, the 'Profile' page is builder page but I don't see any block added on this page.

Could you clarify the issue in more details here so I can help? (some screenshots maybe helpful here)

Sorry had to go out of town for a couple days...

I can not get my menu item "Community" to display like yours does with the full functionality of JomSocial. When I click my link it want it to display like you guys community link. I added the JomSocial Frontpage thinking that would be it but all i got was a photo and video section to show up. Is there a how to with JABuilder and JomSocial to set it up correctly? I just want my commnity link to function and display like yours does. That in a nutshell is my issue.

jlhall07 Bit of weird issue as I have tried replicating the same in local install to render Jomsocial frontpage menu type in JA Builder template and it appears fine

Kindly try to have server cache disabled to see if it helps if you have it enabled by server-side

So apparently there is not handling of server side cache from my cpanel. I was instructed to handle cache from with in the site and as of right now Joomlas cache settings are turned off. I am at a complete lost as what to do next and my client has a deadline that is 2 weeks away. Where else should I be looking?

I still can't change any settings in backend of your site, there must be cache in your server side. Could you pls contact your hosting provider for help to disable it first?

Here is what I find very odd today. If I go to Global Configuration turn off "Search Engine Friendly URLs" then go to Main Menu then the Community item and change the template to anything other than the JA-Builder I get JomSocial to show up. Not correct of course. Not in the right layout and with a template error. I've left it in this state as nothing I do allows it to show correctly with JA-Builders template or SEF on.

jlhall07 Have reviewed specific page again with JA Builder template style in your site, The issue appears to be quite weird as html div tags and corresponding CSS styles for rendering of output/view of Jomsocial elements arent reflecting due to which layout doesnt appear as envisaged although have tried replicating the same in local install and the component renders fine In main body area of JA Builder template style. Ref: Screenshot

Also, To troubleshoot, Try update your jomsocial version to latest version i.e.4.5.3 following the procedure outlined (HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND UPGRADE?) as there had been several improvements and fixes in 4.5.2 which would come along in the latest version

I've flipped flags, I've checked boxes, I've assigned module, I've.... you name it and still the same issue remains. Any luck idea?

jlhall07 Having tried troubleshooting further, I could see that JA Builder template style isnt rendering the component view output for other components too apart from Jomsocial like virtuemart assigned to other menu item although the other component along with Jomsocial renders fine with default joomla template as template style which apparently could be issue with core file of JA builder not having right permissions or code disparity from default template or component view for rendering the output view of component

1) Try upload and replace this file : /templates/ja_builder/index.php from Default JA Builder unzipped package folder where it resides i.e.tpl_ja_builder (Kindly ensure to take backup before doing so)
2) Also, Kindly check for permissions if the respective files/folders are set to chmod 755 or 777 i.e.writable with correct ownership for /templates/ja_builder and component/com_jabuilder

I've uploaded a new version of the index.php file and also double checked both mentioned file paths and they are both set to 755. Can you confirm the jomsocial module I should be selecting in jabuilder and what position this module should be set in? I know you all have access and may have checked it but I want to be certain I am selecting the correct items with their proper setting. This is confusing for components that should just work "out the box" together.

The relative issue is with rendering the component view output due to which several sections which are hardcoded in component view cannot be seen in JA Builder template style however, on the contrary, the same appears fine for me as shared in screenshot too taken from local install. Other modules assigned for the respective pages can already be seen although missing their inherited css stylings

You may share your ftp details in edit fields and I can try and re-install JA Builder component to see if it helps

In furtherance, Would suggest to take backup of your site before trying to re-install JA Builder package so that there can be rollback in case of issues e.t.c
