buildr template changes don't show up in frontend

Hello there,
I try to configure the bulid.r template and have several problems with the settings in the template. For example doesn't change the color of the menu or the grid boxes are always with black background no matter what I do.
I use the Buildr standard and the preset onepage2, every grid I try to edit the new entered colors are saved but don't change in the frontend.
Do you have an idea what happened?

viktoria2 To be more precise and avoid confusion/ambiguity in addressing your relative issue, Can you illustrate and elaborate with screenshot, preferably of element you have tried changing through template settings

as you can see in the screenshots I gave color to the menu, the items should be gray but they are white. Only the hover let them see. In template settings you can see what I have done. Other example is the grid style. I used grid position 1 and 2 and styled the box in template settings. The row background should be white but it is black in frontend. Does this help to understand my problem?
I will install another joomla with buildr demo files try to edit this and will see, how this works then.

Now I changed the grid positions into maincontent area. Looks better now and I can see the menu. I try to set it up, would leave a new reply if I need more help. If not and everything works fine, I will give you a hint to close this conversation.
