Impossible to update ja_onepage 1.0.2

I bought the package to upgrade my site currently on ja_onepage 1.0.2.
I bought ja-onepage-for-joomla-3x-201812.zip.
From the extension manager, I use download and install and I get "Warning JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file"
Then my site is not updated.

You can use the JA Extension manager component to update joomlart extensions , it is free and helps a lot to have evrything updated in the correct way and in case of issues you can revert back your updates -

Take a look HERE to see how to install and how it works .

If you indeed want to install with joomla then you will need to downlaod the template.zip file

Thanks for the quick reply.
I just used ja_extension manager, so I updated the theme & the ja_plugin (T3, maps, etc).
But now how can i upgrade joomla it self as i want to migrate to the newest joomla verison compatible with php ?

when I try "joomla update" menu, I get "No HTTP response received."

I tried to use the update file from https://downloads.joomla.org/cms/joomla3/3-9-1.
but after 2 sec, I get "JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file" and it is not doing anything

To update joomla version you should use core feature from components -> Joomla Update - > Install the update , this is the best option for an update -

Please note that first to update joomla you should take a whole website backup and you should verify that all your installed extensions are compatible with latest joomla release at which you are updating your website.

THanks, I did full backup (my website is also versionned in git).
THe issue is that this core update function does nothing

You are using a joomla 3.0.3 version , you should first update to 3.5.1 and then to 3.6 from where later update to 3.9.2 ( these are correct steps ) since it is a joomla issue and it has nothing to do with the template i cannot be of more help on this matter - my suggestion is to move your php version to a lower one PHP 5.3 actually you are on 5.6 version and it is giving some issues ( you can see them enabling error reporting ) -

Lowering to a 5.3 should be possible to use the joomla update core feature , if not then it should be investigated more to find the issue -

I think you should hire a developer to have this fixed since it is not a simple thing to do in the correct way and avoid future issues with your website.
