Template update over write original config

Just done a template update and the following information changed:

How can I prevent this from happening?

Thanks for the reply.

I cant even find where the current change is.

Did try some changes on a change I made in the template and used local which worked, but for this I have got no idea where the current change is (I did not make it and the chap who did it is on holiday)

Hi,

I restored the website as to how it was before I did the template upgrade, so it shows how it was originally.

If I update, it will end up like the image in the post, and thats the bit I'm missing of where that info is stored / changed

Tried this below, but the contents of the template document is not what is in the file on the website.

I opened "/html/mod_footer/default.php" in template "ja_diner".
and removed this code

	<small><?php echo $lineone; ?> Designed by <a href="http://www.joomlart.com/" title="Visit Joomlart.com!" <?php echo method_exists('T3', 'isHome') && T3::isHome() ? '' : 'rel="nofollow"' ?>>JoomlArt.com</a>.</small>
	<small><?php echo JText::_( 'MOD_FOOTER_LINE2' ); ?></small>

Also i disabled Footer module from site that is used to show footer information.

WHen I upgrade I see this:

I do not want to remove or hide the footer. I dont know where the original changes was made or where the changes are made so the upgrades dont over ride the footer data..

propolis Hi. I'm guessing You have removed a part of the code from file /tmpl/blocks/footer.php Please make sure to overwrite all the modified files after template update.

After you upgraded your template you should go in this folder /templates/ja_diner/html/mod_footer/default.php and change it as below :

</div>

Then save it and clean your cache from System -> Clear cache

I have now sorted this and all is working fine. I have got the template over ride sorted and all is good
