This editor looks really fantastic and could be a step forward to gain more fun with joomla.

I think the concept of editing code lacks by some long term development issues maybe bigger websites. It's the same problem which has other editors too.

Often in content management we need to replace old code with new one or need to repeat items with layout. So we need a solution, which can write template override layouts and fill in custom content or custom fields.

I would like to see my layout code separeted from the content. Twig is good for interpreted content and maybe we can connect reusable parts of twig-html with a json layout and configuration settings in the json.

Yes, I agree with your points.
Our T4 will have T4 framework and T4 page builder.
We will build T4 framework that will manage the layout system and it will be the core to build template where store default layouts and all codebase. The framework is for developer and agency to build site and template the dev ways.
While T4 page builder tool is for user to manage and update content easier, customize style with pre-defined settings.
User can save the content blocks after customized for later use. Using custom html to quickly modify the section html mockup and using custom CSS to add custom style for the section only.
User can do more with the page builder.
