Module search don't show the magnifying glass image, only symbol

Module search don't show the magnifying glass image near to word Search. Shows only a rare symbol as a square where on the demo they are a magnifying glass image. Thanks for your help

Fontawesome CSS file reference path has been made right in /layouts/blocks/head.php enabling the specific font-family to load as envisaged
