Enable Font Awesome on PHOTO template

Hello,

I used the QUICKSTART package to install and enable the Gavic PHOTO template. However, even in the demo content, the Font-Awesome icons are not enabled. What am I missing?

Hello,

Font Awesome are loaded properly on your website, can't see the problem.
Icons are visible on your Typography demo content page.. (warnings section).
The typography section with FA contains only icon classes which should be used this way:

<i class="fa fa-CLASS_NAME"></i>

I took another look. Curiously, the code on the PHOTO demo on Gavic's Site differs from the Installed Demo code...

Why on earth would the installed page/article drop out the classes? What's up with that?

Hi,

You're right, tags were probably removed during exporting the demo conent. We'll try to fix it, you can always check icons here:

It gets better/stranger.....

In the back-end editor - if I try to enter the codes using the [ ] format, entered directly or cut and pasted... the editor rejects the tags - on [save], the tags are deleted. In fact, they vanish immediately upon toggling back to the visual editor. (Note the "Warnings" section of the Typography page uses a different CSS method to display the icons.)

What the heck am I missing? Or is something odd broken?

Figured it out.

I had to disable most Text Filtering AND force Tiny MCE to use Joomla Text Filtering. Then I was able to cut-and-paste code and manually code in tags.
