Hi Friends,
I am troubleshooting www.ecobuildnetrwork.org because I can't get a component to work: modals. It isn't loading at all, and I thought that it might be a php issue since joomla has been bugging me that php7.0 is no longer supported. So I went and changed to php7.1, and the site didn't load at all. I am using buildr, but I built the site about 3 or 4 years ago. My question is: is it possible that the template is no longer compatible, do I need to update it with a newer version of the template? And if so, what are the ramifications of doing so with the site, will I have to rebuild it? I have a fair amount of custom css and such and I like the site as it is and don't want to rebuild.

Suggestions? Can I rule out a template conflict? Thanks!

Hi,

Did you test that component with default Joomla template like protostar first?

6 days later

Thanks! It turns out that the modals error was related to my adding https and the page links needed updating! Phew.
But that still does not solve my problem with updating php from 7.0 to 7.1 or 7.2 on the server. I'll try reinstalling latest version of Buildr and then testing newer version of php on server.

And I'll also check to see if protostar works with the upgraded php, before I try reinstalling Buildr.
