With a new installed JA_ACM, I add columns and rows in sample layout. However, only the left (1st) column is shown. Added columns is not available from the front-end.

Sample layout is generated while I install. Please access file modules/mod_ja_acm/acm/sample/tmpl/style-1.php
You should override it in template folder: /enews.shawnchiu.net/public_html/templates/uber/acm/

Anyway, this is sample layout only, there are many other block layout as in demo site of uber template: https://uber.demo.joomlart.com/index.php/blocks
Did you try any of them? I think, it's better to select one and customize as you wish there.

Please check the image. I know this is just a sample layout, I want to know how far ACM can go and how I will be able to customize it.
You can try with one of various type for JA ACM and tell me how you want to achieve, it will be easier as the sample layout has never been used, to be frank.
