I've inherited a Joomla! site with the corporate_response template, but it's a old version from 2012, if we believe the copyright notice in index.php.
I've managed to update Joomla! to latest 3.9.3 and Php to 7.2. It seems to work, but the main menu disappeared.
I've tried to set various positions in the main menu module, but I can't find the one that makes the menu appear correctly again. It does appear in a number of different positions, but never above the image slider, where it was once, and never correctly (the submenu items are always visible).
Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Looking at your website it seems there are other issues - if i click on top menu items like contact us or testimonials i have wrong url like /index.php/b73kgt-lt678es032/il7935824/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/en/contact-us

I think your website is not correctly updated or has many other problems which are causing menu disappearing

If you have an old backup my suggestion is to install it again and repeat the update in the correct way , we can follow you through this forum.

I do have a backup, but the current situation is the best I could do to update it, based on the generic Joomla! documentation, and if I were to repeat the update process, I'd do just the same steps I've already done.

However if you have specific documentation for the corporate_response template about how to correctly upgrade it from Joomla 3.2.7 to 3.9.3, I'm more than willing to read and follow it.

BTW, I could not reproduce the problem you encountered, but I've now updated a number of links that were pointing to wrong URLs coming from the old permalink scheme that included index.php.

I've searched for "corporate" keyword in the KB, but the only result is about WordPress... I assume there aren't any specific documents about how to update Joomla! with that template.
However, since the template was installed on Joomla! 3.2.7 and now I have Joomla! 3.9.3, but still the old version of the template, don't you think that updating the template too could be wise?
Problem is: I couldn't find that template in the Club Joomla Templates gallery.

Yes, This will surely be wise as the Latest version always comes with new features, updates/improvements and various bug fixes.

The latest template version i.e. 1.0.2 can be downloaded following the steps as outlined in screenshot. Ref- Screenshot however would require active membership ever since S5 Corporate Response is Premium S5 template
