Manual deletion function not working

Hello,

I have added the code to the kunena.php file as per your instructions, and tried again. But there is no difference.

The test user requesting deletion receives emails (but often much delayed), the admin receives nothing of emails.
When approving the deletion request anyway in the admin panel, the content of the test user's forum post at Kunena is not replaced with the text "Removed by user". The username is removed but not the post/reply content.

So my problem remains:
1. The admin doesn't receive any email when someone requests a deletion. This is vital because the admin needs to be notified.
2. Posts in Kunena aren't replaced with the text "Removed by user".

Can you please fix these two problems? Thanks.

I have installed the new updates, thanks.

The emails are now working correct: both the user requesting deletion as the admin are receiving the emails they need to receive (and now they also arrive immediately). So that problem is now resolved, thanks!

The second problem is still there: when I delete a user through JA GDPR, the content of their Kunena forum posts is not removed but remains as it was. In the JA GDPR component's settings for Kunena, I have the following settings:

Enable Kunena section: yes
Replace Post/Reply Content: yes
Delete attachment: yes
Enable Delete/Request Button: no (because I only want one deletion request button at the bottom)
Post/Reply Content Replacement: removed by user
Section Title: (left blank)
Section Description: (left blank)

Can you please let me know what to do?

One more remark: I just noticed that the user requesting deletion does not get a confirmation email after the deletion is carried out through JA GDPR. It would be handy that they receive that confirmation email, so they know that their request has been carried out.

EDIT: When I tried a second time, the email sent to the user to confirm their account had been deleted did arrive. I don't know why it didn't the first time though.

Did you select 'Approve' or 'Manual' action when deleting user? their Kunena forum posts will be removed when you select 'Approve' , with 'Manual', the system will send email only.

We tested this feature again but all work normally. it should send email when deletion is carried out.

Hello,

I did the deletion through the "approve" button, not the "manual" button. But the forum posts in Kunena were not deleted.

The email did arrive, only delayed, so the email problem is resolved. Deleting the posts in Kunena is the only remaining issue now.

Hello,

It has been quite some time since I heard back. Do you have any news yet on the automatic deletion of Kunena posts?

I have also noticed an additional issue:
when deleting an account, it does delete the Joomla user account but it does NOT actually delete the Community Builder fields for that user. Even though I do have the CB plugin for JA GDPR installed as well. This causes issues when trying to synchronize users within Community Builder.

Hello, I have been waiting since September last year now and have not heard back. Is there a solution to this issue yet please? Especially the issue for deleting CB fields for a deleted Joomla user.

Hi,

Could you check the admin account again? I will try to check it directly on your site.

I tested at my end with Kunena GDPR plugin but the associated post from deleted user are removed.

Thanks for your reply. I just tested again to make sure what does and what doesn't work. I created a test account, and made a post in a forum. Then requested a deletion, and confirmed it.

The CB fields are properly deleted now from the SQL database, so that problem is solved.
The posts on Kunena, however, are not removed/replaced. The content of the post remains, and the name of the poster remains too (just no longer clickable as the associated profile has been removed).

I tried running the tools in Kunena itself, but no effect.

The site admin account details I had provided on top are available, so you can use them to test.

Somehow, it happens on your site specific, could you share the ftp account also?

Hello,

I have created a temporary ftp account and added the login details to the ftp info in the grey box on top.

I had a few deletion requests these past days, but when I tried to delete them through the extension, I got something of an error: 1054 Unknown column 'qq' in 'field list'. The account was not removed. I was, however, able to delete the account without problems in Joomla (Community Builder) itself.
I noticed that these deletions came through Kunena, I assume you had enabled the Kunena deletion request button. I disabled it again, as I only want the deletion request button to show up on the JA-GDPR user info page.
