Hi,

Is it possible to permanently show the categories menu expanded, even when navigating away from the home page.

Also is it possible to remove the "Show more" from the categories menu and have it permanently?

Hi,

You can open the file: root/templates/ja_megastore/js/script.js

at approx line 116:

fixmenuleft();
$(window).resize(function(){
  fixmenuleft();
});

change it to:

//fixmenuleft();
$(window).resize(function(){
  //fixmenuleft();
});

Then use this custom CSS code:

.t3-navbar-category .nav-stacked > li.vmshow {
    display: none;
}

put into the file: root/templates/ja_megastore (your default template)/css/custom.css (Create this file if it doesn't exist).

To be more precise and avoid confusion/ambiquity in addressing your query, Kindly elaborate on the same and would be even better if you could provide screenshot marked with annotations showing as to what is desired

Sorry my appologies. after making the modifications to "script.js" and creating a "custom.css" I cannot open the menu on other pages.

For example the home page features the menu expanded without the "show more" which is exactly what I was after.

The problem is if I navigate to another page the menu collapses and clicking on it does not open the menu it stays like the image below:

Ultimately I would like the menu to stay expanded on other pages like the Homepage/first image. But being able to open the menu is more important.

You can emulate the problem I'm having by navigating to "spotx.com". Clicking on "about us" then attempt to open the collapsed "Guide books menu" menu.

As I can see that the categories menu shows all items now and it works on other pages also. Could you check again?

Doesn't seem to be on my end, Checked with 2 different pc's at 2 locations,

Even cleared the sites cache and t3 assests .

Had to remove the java script mod due to menu not working, the show more has retained though. I appreciate the help there. Would be good to get the menu to stay expanded though.

Kindly check with your hosting provider if they have some server-side caching enabled due to which modifications or changes might not reflect as I have added the css code below to custom.css file however the css adaptions doesnt appear even after clearing browser cache on your site

.t3-navbar-category.category-dropdown .module-ct{display:block !important;}

which should derive the result as envisaged by you for other pages as seen in screenshot where I have added respective css rule-set and how it appears for other pages however, the same would require custom code changes in other files too in order for main-body output to appear fine for other pages
