Problem with Request Manual Deletion

Request Manual Deletion doesn't work properly.

When a user press RMD in front end it only generates a response mail to the user. We don´t get the notification mail to the admin and nothing is recorded in the activity log.

It did work, I received the test mail.

And that would not explain why the activies is not recorded in the log. I belive that the problem is elsewhere.

It's weird as when I tried to put my email (one is gmail and another is my company email) but I did not received any test email from both of them.

Does the mail function work fine for you? Are the contact or registration notification, mails arriving? as I have tried in the same global configuration for test mail after entering one of my mailing id however no test mail arrived through the core joomla function

No admin-request mail and still nothing shows in the log.

Hi,

I made another test on your site by adding my own email in the Mail settings under Global Configuration and email in JA GDPR component + I created a new user but when I use RMD, I didn't received any email for new user I created nor admin. Kindly check again with your hosting provider for the mail function on your site.

I have asked the host provider to look into the problem. However, I just tried again, and there is no problem with e-mail service from the Joomla-core. It delivers mails to both new users, old users and admin as it should. Other extensions like Event Bookning also uses the e-mail service without any problem.

This, together with that no activity is registrered in the log still makes me belive that the problem is to be found in the GDPR-extension.

I'll get back to you with the response from the hosting provider asap.

Sorry, still the same problem. I have tried to uninstall the old version and then install the new. I have tried to erase all cookies and cleared the cache. Nothing works. According to the host, they can´t se any problem from their side.

centralbyrakraten Having tried to replicate the issue, I could see that test core mail feature doesnt work and it returns with error as seen in screenshot.

Kindly configure mail settings right in Global Configuration for it to work properly as the relative fix has been done in latest version update of JA Joomla GDPR as seen here also

Strange, because I could not replicate the issue with the core mail that you describes. However, I have reconfigured the adjustments and I can't see that there is any problem there (and the test mail-function works for me).

It still doesn't explain why the confirmation mail to the user is being sent and the notification to admin is not. It doesn't either explain why these activities is not shown in the activity-log.

When I try to follow the link within the confirmation mail sent to the user this says that the confirm-link doesn't belong to the current user.

I still get the similar error message as shared earlier and the same doesnt work for me while sending test mail through Global Configuration. You may try to change dropdown selection for Mailer to PHP mail function or send mail and then reconfigure accordingly for it to work right

A little breakthrough.

Now it sends mails to both user and admin and the request is visible in the activity-log.

However, when I try to respond by using any of the functions with in the activity-log - approve, reject or manual. I end up with a 403 Forbidden - Access denied-error, no matter what function I try.

Kindly ensure that the relative folders/files in /components/com_jagdpr are set to chmod 755 or 777 (writable) along with right ownership which can be done through your favorite ftp client

Hi.
It's seem your site had retrict the content to send to email.
Maye cause by some plugin or your host provider.
so it's redirect to error page.

You could try to edit the Email Content to a normal one like:

Or write your own content.
And try to send email again
