Bugs upon installing latest version of Guru

Hello,

I installed the latest version of Guru on localhost and right away there are several bugs:

I am told that I need to download the latest version, despite the fact that I am using the latest version.
The menu item that is automatically created, "iJoomla," which is supposed to display the Category List view, instead displays a 401 error.
After deleting the automatically created, "iJoomla," menu item described above, I tried to create my own Category List menu item, but upon saving I receive the following error:

Error
Save failed with the following error: MenusTableMenu::_getNode(1, ) failed.

I am not unable to save any menu items.
4. I tried to rebuild my menus and receive the following new error:

Rebuild failed: MenusTableMenu::getRootId

Hi,

I reinstalled everything and all of the bugs appear to have gone away. I'm not feeling too confident about this, because I really didn't solve the problem.

If you can think of anything that would have a caused all of these bugs on installing Guru, please let me know so I can prevent it from happening in the future.

Unfortunately, I spoke too soon. I was able to replicate the error.

I reinstalled my components and after installing Guru, I deleted the automatically created menu item, "iJoomla," emptied the trash, then I tried to create my own Guru Category List Layout menu item, and I received the following error when I clicked the save button:

Error
Save failed with the following error: MenusTableMenu::_getNode(1, ) failed.

I'm looking in the menu table in phpmyadmin and I can see that the table record with id=1 is missing.

Why is it that when I install Guru and delete the auto created iJoomla menu item, the record with id=1 is deleted? The menu table record with id=1 was created when Joomla is installed. I don't see the connection between this record and Guru, but there seems to be a correlation between installing Guru, deleting the auto created "iJoomla" menu item, and losing the record with id=1 in my menu table.

Please explain how to fix this?

The issue is in your database tables that not able to creating the Menu when you are installing the component.
Its not related with the extension, I just test the Guru on my local and have no issue.

It needs to repair the database tables. You can try the latest Joomla installation and install Guru to see the different there will be no issue.

Thank you for the reply. I was able to fix the problem by adding a new record with id=1 to my _menu table.

I was able to replicate the problem two times with the latest versions of Joomla! and Guru by installing Guru, deleting the auto-generated "iJoomla" menu item, and trying to create and save a new menu item.

When I created a new Guru menu item first and then deleted the "iJoomla" menu item, there was no problem. I only noticed the issue when I deleted the "iJoomla" menu item before creating another one.

Adding the new record seems to have fixed the problem.
