Important questions about the “User’s Block”

As a Web site developer this is where, I hope, your system will get all is power.

What I see is promising but…

Being able to develop reusable pre-formatted blocks that my clients will be able to reuse is one of the most powerful function in your system.

Ideally to have a good User’s Block tool you need to be able to...
- Save and name your pre-formatted blocks — (Already there) 🙂

What is missing and needed;
Blocks
- Being able to rename the Blocks
- Being able to automatically have a thumbnails representing the block (Not the 𝜙, without a thumb preview “Users Blocks” become really akwards to use)
- Being able to move the Blocks will be great
- Being able to delete Blocks (Should be ACL to an Admin or other Joomla User Group to prevent mistake)
- Being able to Group the Blocks, See Image (My Blocks Group)
- Being able to rename & Move the Groups (I add the move icon)
- Being able to delete Groups (Should be ACL to an Admin or other Joomla User Group to prevent mistake)

Also, really important and powerful ;
Being able to import/export All User’s Block & Settings will permit the safe keeping and transfert all the predetermined blocks to be use on other sites. Will save Tons of work for Sites Developper

Can you tell them to send me some feedback as it is a needed feature, without it the whole component is useless to me.

Your Competitor component work perfectly and generate the right thumbnails and is able to name the blocks as you want. They do not have an easy easy way to import/export these custom blocks but you can work around doing it.

I agree that these are cool features and it would be great if they can be implemented. As I mentioned above, the team will consider it. T4 Builder still in development stage so we always welcome and appreciate feedback like yours.
