Extra article in Onepage theme

I'm trying to make an additional menu-item besides the menu-items i use in the onepage where i can show an article.
I made a new menu item (Over), and assigned it to the Default template, as i read in the forum, but that is were it goes wrong.
The default template has another layout than the homepage, and the default template I cannot change.
How can I make the default template the same as the used template (Metro)?

Open template style of default template > Theme > select Metro theme and save.
In each template style you can assign a different theme.
