Colours Not Changing/ Google fonts addition

Hi Guys,

I'm using the Joomla Bamboo Buildr Template. The colour changes I make in the back-end of my rebuild are not being seen on the front-end. I can easily add a module in the template and they are appearing. I have also added Google Fonts which are reflected in the front-end but the colours of rows and containers are not reflecting the settings in the back-end. What should I be looking for in the template that I might be missing or that might be stopping the changes?

Its little hard to say at the moment why changes are not showing, May be you are making changes on wrong template style that is not used by the Home Menu of site.

I need to check this on your site, kindly give me any of the change details you applied here with screenshot,

Thanks Ninja - I have updated the fields. I have also on the current live site (without /new) disabled the security features on sh404SEF and have allowed site templates in AdminTools. I have a feeling though that your IP address may be blocked.

I can access the admin but i do not know the changes you applying and not showing.
I tried some of the changes like change Presets theme and its working. Can you give me any one of the change details that you want to apply and its not working ?
I have not found this information in last post.

BOTTOM ROW SETTINGS:
Row Style - Background Colour = @secondary (This should be black)
Container Style - Background Colour = @secondary (This should be black)
* The front-end of the site has the colour as Salmon/Pink

LOGO ROW SETTINGS:
* Colors - Set to @secondary and @primary - The Salmon/Pink colors are showing up on the front-end of the site.

I hope that gives some direction.

Having tried replicating the same on local install however specific dynamic functionality through Zengrid framework isnt working seamlessly.

For troubleshooting purposes, Kindly ensure to clear your browser cache to see if changes reflect thereafter

Have requested team member also to verify at their end. Please be patient while we revert back

Also, You may kindly add custom CSS to custom.css file and change color code accordingly if wishing to have immediate change while the specific functionality is being reviewed

Thanks Guys, The same thing has now happened with the Buildr template on https://www.castletonhills.ca/ - Everything is up to date in the backend. I'm concerned as I have many clients using this template. I have not made any changes to the template.

The issues are specific to the menu and to colours.

I should confirm that I've cleared my browser cache, the cache from within Joomla, turned off JCH_Optimize if using, as well, as turned off security in sh_404SEF.

One more update. Here's what I have noticed.

Top
- Background colour updates using @secondary
- text colours are not correct

Logo
- background colour not updating
- text colours are not updating

I hope this helps in troubleshooting.

Another Update - On the www.castletonhills.ca website. I turned CSS Output | Compress CSS - to OFF - The template is now displaying correctly.

Have reported the same with JA Dev. Team and concerned team is reviewing if certain fixes are required for seamless experience in terms of having dynamic functionality to work effectively.

Please be patient while we revert back

Also, If facing similar issue with another site built on similar framework, You may please start a new topic/discussion for the other site and post the site credentials in edit fields so as to avoid multiplicity henceforth resulting in confusion primarily.

The aforesaid action would also enable us to address your - another site - relative issue more precisely

Hi,

In the Buildr template Settings , you add the font link:

<link href=https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Oswald|Raleway:500 rel=stylesheet>

in the option 'Add less files to compiler'

We removed it and the style is working now.

One note is that when you change the option 'Compress CSS Output', you need to compile less.

Kindly check again.

Thanks so much saguaros. I'm glad it was such a simple reason this wasn't working properly. With that said, what is the best way to add the fonts? Is it to ensure they are included on the site so they aren't calling Google?

For using Google fonts, The best and intuitive way is through Zengrid framework as outlined in documentation

Thanks aman204 It appears the issue was related to putting the Google Fonts link into the Template Compiler. I realize that I had read the documentation incorrectly. Thanks for your help in this matter.
