Problem with VM custom fields in Autoshop template

Ciao; we have a problem with your Autoshop e-commerce template and virtuemart custom fields.
Using custom fields in virtuemart products, the page layout gets messy.
Same problem in your demo if virtuemart custom fields are used.

isidorocanones Hi. Given access does not work on original site, so I'm not able to see the correct layout.

I would need an access to to the cloned site and an access to joomla panel of an original one.

now you have it, same of cloned site.
I notice that the problem occurs on desk, not on mobile.

On original there are no custom fields activated at the moment.

Try comment out the extra closing </div> tag as seen in screenshot around line 61 in\templates\ja_autoshop\html\com_virtuemart\sublayouts\customfields.php file

Kindly ensure to clear your browser cache if changes dont reflect and do ensure to take backup of current file

Have also reported this with JA Dev. Team and the same shall be fixed in future version releases

Hej, half problem solved!
Now we have a better layout but in products preview page the containers have wrong size.
You can compare these 2 pages:

Can you add your ftp details also in edit fields in order for us to take closer look.

Having checked both pages with default Joomla template - Protostar, The similar issue persists. Ref: Screenshot -1 and Screenshot -2 henceforth, the relative issue is coming from core Virtuemart files from where output is rendering and not from template override files

You may kindly post for this in VM forums and also try the option outlined here for troubleshooting purposes

thanks for answer. At the same time I'm working on another website with vituemart and custom fields.
In that website we have no problems even though products are published with custom fields so i supose the issue is not related to the virtuemart files.
I switched on protostar template on that site for further check and it works fine too, you can see screenshot.

I need a few days to test and find out where the problem might be and I ask you not to close this ticket for now.

Hi, now I got it!
Writing html code (I had <strong> tag) in VM product short description with text more than 50 text characters gave the issue. Tricky!

So you are acquitted, it was actually not a Ja template problem ;-)
