I'm using DT Register 4.0.9 on my sites until a new release fixes the bugs introduced in 4.1.0 and all the patches are properly implemented into the extension.

Administrator-level users are not able to save events because when they create a new event, the extension creates entries in the Agenda, Speaker, and Sponsor tabs without them ever going to those tabs during event creation. This has happened in at least three phone training sessions I've conducted with clients, and has been reported by at least two more.

I created an Administrator account to try to test this, but I STILL can't replicate it. So I don't understand what it is that is creating this issue for several clients. I can't find any other similar reports in your forum.

My clients have Administrator privileges on their sites, and almost all of them have reported or experienced this issue. I'm not having this problem because I'm a SuperUser and it only seems to affect Administrators - but creating an Administrator account and testing this didn't enable me to re-create the issue myself.

Thank you,
Ernie

Further testing with the client - it does not appear to have anything to do with the user level. It seems that if I'm on the General tab while editing, it saves the record (at least in this test), but if I click over to the Agenda, Speaker, or Sponsor tabs, there's an "item" for each, and it's blank - and I get an error when I try to save.

On the frontend, that saved event shows those sections (Agenda, Speaker, Sponsor) even though there's no data (except the start and end times for the one Agenda item it created.

I'm still testing, but this is wreaking havoc on all my clients and they're very unhappy with this and the other issues we've been dealing with the past year.

I'm at a loss to figure out how to prevent this. People are spending time creating their event and then can't save because entries are made on tabs they never touched and they can't delete them or enter acceptable valid data. They're just screwed and lose all their work.

Whatever it is, it's outside my ability to diagnose. Your investigative help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you,
Ernie

Hi Ernie,

I can't replicate the same issue, if you can, kindly share the administrator account that I can see and check for you.

Regards

saguaros I supplied the login information - are you not able to log in?

I re-created the account with the same credentials so if you weren't able to log in, you should be able to now.

    Thank you,
    Ernie

    Hi Ernie,

It keeps showing error when I try to access admin panel with provided account: http://prntscr.com/nd00jt

If your host limits access from my place, plz add exception for these IPs: 113.190.254.239 / 118.70.176.221

saguaros There are no geographic blocks on this site.

I deleted the account and recreated it. I logged in with those credentials successfully and logged back out.

      Can you try again?

      I apologize for the inconvenience.

      Thank you,
      Ernie

I can access your site now, created a new admin account called admindth, I can create new event 'testdth' without issue.

I also can't replicate this issue.

Could these administrators share screenshot of this error when they create event?

I can't replicate it either. But I've done phone training with other clients who experienced this - it's not limited to this client.

The client creates an event and even though they've never clicked on the Agenda, Speaker or Sponsor tabs, they try to save the event and get an error. The behavior differs, but here's what I've seen:

        1. The client CAN save the event, but when I refresh the home page to see the event appear on the site, there is a heading for the Agenda, Speaker, and Sponsor (after clicking "Show Details") but they have no content. When I re-open the event on the back-end, I see the blank entries and I'm able to delete them.

        2. The client CANNOT save the event because of the entries created on those tabs, but IS able to either remove them by clicking the red minus button or by filling in the required fields.

        3. The client CANNOT save the event and when they try to remove the entries on those tabs, they cannot - the red minus button does not "work". Also, they cannot make any entry into the required fields. In the end, their only option is to hit the back button on their browser and lose all their work.

Again, this has occurred with multiple clients, some on the phone and some reporting it to me via email. None have supplied screen shots, but if I'm ever on the phone with them when this happens again, I will ask for them to capture the page showing that they can't click or change anything.

If something comes up when you're updating for the next version that could possibly be causing this, please correct it.

        Thank you,
        Ernie

          Hi,

I can't replicate the same, let me forward to the developer for further checking on this.
