Hello,
I think the latest version of Zen Shortcodes plugin (1.7.5) is out of date with the latest version of Font Awesome 4.

Instagram icon is not the right one, it's the old icon that is displayed.
I also tried to activate the plugin option that allows to load font-awesome.min.css file from the CDN, but apparently this one also displays the old version of Instagram icon.

Could you check on your side please?

Thank you,

Lorenzo

    Hi Lorenzo

Having tried to replicate the same on local install, Can see that FA icon for instagram is reflecting fine as seen from directory of Font awesome 4.7.0. Ref: Screenshot

    Hello,
…so maybe you have an explanation of why I have the old version of Instagram icon that still showing up? However I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of the plugin ... please look in the footer of my test site

    Thank you,

    Lorenzo

      Hello,
admin and ftp details added. Thank you. 🙂

Please don’t update Ecolife template (currently 1.3.2 version in my test website) because new module positions have been added.

iorbita Kindly check now as I have replaced the file i.e./media/zenshortcode/fontawesome/css/font-awesome.min.css which is being fetched to reflect constant from 4.7.0 FA library

You may also check at your-url/media/zenshortcode/fontawesome/css/font-awesome.min.css

Ensure to clear your browser cache if changes dont reflect

Hello Aman and thank you for the interest to my problem ... indeed font-awesome.min.css file seems to be in 4.7.0 version, but the problem is still present, it’s still the old Instagram icon that is displayed, even after emptying caches ...

iorbita Indeed quite weird that the relative issue doesnt replicate on local install and Font awesome 4.7.0 icons are reflecting as envisaged. Also, Had made reference to 4.7.0 FA stylesheet for your site to ensure that the same apply

To troubleshoot, You may try the following :

          1) Check with other FA icons to see if they are reflecting fine
          2) You may check with your hosting provider if they have some server-side caching enabled due to which modifications or changes in respective files might not reflect at times. Due to this, the site might store and reflect old webpages irrespective of changes or modifications being done at times due to same being enabled

          1) Check with other FA icons to see if they are reflecting fine

The problem is also true with other icons, such as Google+ icon, is the old version that is displayed...

The same site is installed locally and I have exactly the same problem ...

I'll continue to looking for… thank you anyway,

          Lorenzo

          Problem solved by updating template (1.3.2 -> 1.3.5) 😉
