Other groups not showing

Hi
I am trying to create a cpanl for a particular group, but the only groups I see are Administrator, Manager and Super User. I cannot see any other groups, so cannot allocate options to the particular user.

How do i do this please

Do you want to allow a new user group to access your site admin ?

You need to apply changes in Joomla ACL for this, to allow access for new user group for admin access and other sections access.
Here is documentation for Joomla ACL helps you to know, how its works..
Please note : If you add an access for new user group, try the login yourself, since admin side is main part to operate site.

Ah ok thanks.. I see that now.

IM afraid your documentation on creating a dashboard for a new user is not quite clear.. I am wary of locking myself out as superuser!!

You should not touch the super user group to lockout yourself.
Open system > global config > permission > to check and edit the default permissions. http://prntscr.com/nimxq6
and do the same for each section of Joomla extensions, article etc

ok thanks.. and then when I am building a new dashboard for a user an I only want them to see certain things, I assume I need to remove the All and just add super user and them? like in screen shot?? sorry, its not terribly clear!

You need to make changes only for the New user group to allow access, do not touch the default Joomla user group as it can create issue for default access.
