A client has asked me if she can initiate a PayPal payment refund from the website.
Most of my clients allow people to register for events without logging in, so the user can't cancel it themselves (as far as I know).
I'm wondering if I go to the Administrator and to the Registration Records and change the Status for a user to "Canceled" will DT Register initiate a PayPal refund?
In all my years using DT Register, a client has never needed this. If they did, it was simple enough to just delete the registration in DT Register and go to their PayPal account and initiate a refund from there. This client doesn't know how to do that in her PayPal account - she may not be authorized to do it. Her boss won't be back until next week and she thinks he may have full privileges on the PayPal account.
But for now, and for future reference, I'm wondering if changing the Status to Canceled for the record in the administrator will actually initiate a refund.
