Wrong Favicon for Website

When you go to the home page a favicon appears in the window tab that is not correct (it is the Joomlart ico image that also appears in Support Central), where is the favicon located?

I have my favicon.ico file placed in the Alumni template folder at .../templates/ja_alumni

Should it be somewhere else?

You need to clear your browser cache because i can see your favicon correctly at my side.

I tried that Pavit, but no success, it seems to be a Chrome bug as many users are seeing the same favicon, see https://support.google.com/chrome/thread/4955771?hl=en

Hopefully they will fix it in the next update.

Having tried to replicate, The bug appears to be chrome specific as the favicon is also seen in code reference through page source and reflecting fine with other major browsers - firefox or safari

Surely, We can see with future Chrome update ever since several people have reported similar bug in the specific topic redirection 🙂

Also, You may check if the favicon is reflecting fine with default joomla template assigned whilst changing the favicon in \templates\protostar on all major browsers

I tested our favicon with Protostar and it appears correctly when replacing the default favicon.ico file with the ico file we use in Alumni, so maybe these is something in Alumni that Chrome does not like in their current version (something that is common with other websites that have the same issue due to the Chrome bug).

One possibility - it may be a Bookmark problem in Chrome as I do not have Protostar bookmarked at any time, so it would not be affected.

Having replicated with fresh quickstart package of JA Alumni - Although, The favicon reflects fine with Chrome also. Ref: Screenshot even while it has been bookmarked so as apparently seen, The bug is Chrome specific for your site
