Selecting A Default Style

Hi,

I downloaded the JA Good 20mb download that comes with Joomla and demo data to play around with the template. I have set the Home Game (ja_good - Game) Style as the default but the Demo Landing Page module continues to pop-up asking me to select a style. If I disable the module, I am taken to a generic version of the home page only showing featured articles.

What is the best way to just set Home Game as the default template for the page I am trying to test? I don't want to use any of the other styles yet, what is your suggestion so that when I go to my URL the Home game style loads instead of having to select it from the Demo landing Page module.

You can edit your home menu item and assign to it as default template the Game template style.

I have done the above and all I get is this home page

I followed the instructions in the Documentation and what you suggested but everything leads to this. I have even removed the other styles and set ja_good - Game as the default.

I apologize if I a missing something very obvious.

If I set the Home Game menu item from the Topbar Menu left as the Default then it loads the style I want. The only issue with this is that if you then click on Home in the main menu it takes you back to the image I showed you.

Unpublish all items from your main menu - set the Home-game in menu Topbar Menu Left the default page.

Then edit template layout ja_good-game and assign as menu the Topbar Menu Left as default menu for the template.

Kindly do not post the admin details in public posts.
The quickstart package comes with sample data. To change the default Homepage, you only need to set the games menu as default : http://prntscr.com/nnr4oh
I set this for you.

If you do not want to see the default Home menu item, you can un publish it from Main Menu > Home.

I'm not sure why the text was not included with the above screen shot.
I'm also attempting to setup this template but using the good-news template and it gives this view see link http://iclaimadjusters.com/modelaje/ but when you click on any item on the nav, then the correct format is displayed. Any suggestion would be appreciated. thanks
