Joomla T3 System Plugin update 2.7.1 do not install

I got a joomla 3.8 and there is no possiblities to upload the T3 System Plugin 2.7.1
Is there a fix or a workaround ?

Could you clarify the error when you install this plugin here?

I just downloaded & installed successfully in my local site with J!3.8.8.

Hello , the error was

COM_INSTALLER_TYPE_TYPE_.

and then the module is not uploaded.

Could you update your first post as showed HERE Point-5 and add to it a temp super user account for your website backend and a working url for it ?

Same issue.... updated on one site before the 3.8.8 but on my other site gives same error message... the plugin is in the /tmp directory, error is: (trying installer, since updater does not work, file too big)

But I put several other packages (purity iii and the T3 update) in the /tmp directory and was fine.

You should download plugin from HERE Then use the joomla install core feature and upload it from your local folder where you saved your download and install it , this will update your plugin to latest version 2.7.1

I did that already, but that failed as explained.

I did get the JaExtensions Manager to work, and while I had some difficulty and had to manually make some directories in the repository path, I got the files in the repository, and then the updates worked. (I have the T3 framework, the T3 plugin and the purity iii template all happy now in jaextension manager)

Had similar, but slightly different issues on 2 different sites.

Umm... I said I solved the issue and also got JAExtensionsManager working.

I've had update issues come and go, sometimes permissions, sometimes it's the file size, etc.

So, since I solved it, I am done. Perhaps the other guy with the issue can do what I did.
