Hi guys,
Looking at your documentation and video tutorial, I'm not able to understand:

  1. How the transleted languages items are saved ? As the standard multilanguge feature, creating new articles and associating them to the original one ?
  2. If so, Why not have your "Association Manager" tab showing directly the Joomla standard "Multilingual Association" panel ? (It's really too annoyng and complicated walk away from default Joomla)
  3. Is there a way to automatically perform the translations on Article creation / modification ? And/or set a CronTask to perform it one time per day ?
  4. Seblod: Can JA Multilanguage work with Seblod ?
  5. About "Translation Service":
5-1 As far as I understand JA Multilanguage always start to translate from the "Site Default" language. As we know we can reach more automatic translations from English and in special we can have access to the Neural Machine Translation model (Google). Now, often on mydomain.com the default language is not English. So we'd like to perform translation in two steps: 1 - from mydomain.com (let me say in spanish just for example) to English, and then 2 - from mydomain.com/en to all others languages. Is it anything we can do ?
5-2 Google / Microsoft: Why don't have them work "togheter" ? Where to assign some languages to Google and others to Microsoft (depending on their quality and thinking that sometimes Google can translate languages that cannot be translated with Microsoft and vice versa)
    5-3 Duplicate: I don't understand when I should use it ?

Many Thanks for your attention!

Hi

  1. Component makes copies and assign them to proper language.
  2. Most of the assignment is done automatically, option is only needed for changes/modifications
  3. No, the translation has to be manually triggered, bu translated elements will not be translated again if they were not modified.
  4. I'm afraid Seblod is not supported by component.
5-1. You can select which language should be a default one and all other selected languages selected to be translated to will be used to create new content.
5-2. Both of those options provides same service, so I believe a connection to one of them at time is enough. They differ a little bit, one of them is free and has limited number of languages for translation, other is payed but supports more languages. It's up to users which service they need to use.
5-3. Componentn will just make a copy of content in the same language for user to translate it manually.

Hi,
2 Sorry, I don't understand, here the question was: Why not have your "Association Manager" tab showing directly the Joomla standard "Multilingual Association" panel ?
4 - Please, Do you have instructions/suggestments on how to add it ?
5-1 But when I select "which language should be a default" is not only a default used in JA Multilingual, but the Frontend Site language !
5-3 Please, What is the difference from the "Copy Reference to Target" button included into the Joomla Multilingual Associations ?

Hi

  1. I'm afraid I can't answer that for certain, since I wasn't in this extension development team. I believe having it like that allows connection with a different extensions as well. "Association Manager" can be used as a standalone feature without it's multilanguage part

  2. I'm sorry, but You will need to hire a developer to implement such add-on, we do not support customizations unfortunately.

5-1. Yes, that's what I meant. Default site language is the one all the content should be created for first, so it can be translated from it.

5-3. If You for example make translation from English to Polish, selecting this option will create Polish articles, but the content will not be translated and only copied from original one. "Copy Reference to Target" allows to reuse articles already having their associations. Like for example having a page "Translation will come shortly" or something like that.

Hi teitbite,
thanks for reply. About:
4. "I'm sorry, but You will need to hire a developer to implement such add-on" = I made the question thinking to have from you suggestions/directions to give to the freelancer developer...
5-1. Do you think will be possible to perform translation in two steps ?: 1 - from mydomain.com (let me say in spanish just for example) to English, and then 2 - from mydomain.com/en to all others languages. Do you have any suggestions for it ?
