JA Builder and template from Shape5

I recently purchased the JA builder subscription along with access to templates at Shape5 (a Joomlart sister company). I assumed that I would be able to set the template LightChurch (from Shape5) as my default and then use JA builder to make changes/modifications to the page.

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to do it.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi,

When you set LightChurch as default template, then in Backend > JA Builder > create a builder page

And create a menu item with type of JA Builder page > edit the page.

This menu item is assign to LightChurch so the Header + Footer block will inherit from this template, the main part of this page will be the blocks from JA Builder.

I hope you can help me. I have exact the same problem as jimstowe01.

Can you be specific about the "And create a menu item with type of JA Builder page > edit the page."?
I am not 100% sure here what you mean. I tired to create a NEW menu item. I also tried to link it to the existing HOME menu item.

I choose
Components -> JA Builder Pages
Ok, this is empty. So I click NEW.

But what do I have to choose then? I tried "Create New" as Menu Item. And also "Main Menu" but the Church Template is not visible at all.

When I fire up JA Page Builder I get an empty page where I can start creating a new site.

Is the Shape5 template lightchurch not 1005 compatible with JA Page Builder?
