New registrant does not get a Joomla User account

Hi!

If a new registrant is successfully registered for an event, he/she should automaticcaly get a new Joomla User account. I'm quite sure I have read that this is possible (even read about CB and JomSocial) but I can't get it to work.

In the Configuration > General, I have set User Profile Integration to 'Core Joomla'.

Now, your manual says I should be able to set the Default Auto-Created User Group. But I don't have this option (DT Register 4.2 Stable).

Am I missing something?
Where do I find the settings?

Hi,

There are some changes in the workflow, this feature was removed in the latest version 4.2. There are 2 types of registration: public and private (registered users can only register)

Public / Guest: everyone can register, no account will be created.

Private : users need to signup , with this way we use Joomla default registration

So basically, there is no account creation from dt register now.

Exactly my thought: why would you remove such a great feature?
Did most of your clients vote for removing this?

we want to make come back to our site, for most of our users, as easy as possible.
it is contra productive to say:
hi there! you have to enter your details EVERY TIME you come here...
instead,
you could say: hi there! i know you, come on, come in! have fun!

you could integrate this back in to registrationn process, just in one line, something like:

Do you want to create the profile for future events: Y /N
or
Should i save this profile for future events?
=> thats it!
