Its custom html module published on footer-right position.

Open the module and add the URL of your social channels.

I am still confused.

I copied and pasted the code above into the source code of the module. When I press okay, the code gets stripped out and I'm left with an empty module. Here's a screen shot to show what I am doing: https://cl.ly/662c9190703f

What am I not understaning?

Its your Editor that removing the code. kindly open system > Global > config> Default editor > None.
now add the code and save.
