Kindly check and confirm.

The fix must be applied from FTP or cpanel. its can not be done from Joomla backend, as folder must be created.

check the username and password, please see again, the user starts with a lowercase letter, the password begins with a capital letter.
In ftp I created the vmsafe folder (including the invoice folder inside it).
I added the data to enter by ftp

I can check it with default Joomla template, if its present on that too, you must contact the VM support team as it would be something that must check by extension provider.

I think this is a cache issue related to your server, as you can see here http://prntscr.com/o3hkks safepath is created correctly and no errors are showed in your backend and frontend now.

So it would be better if you post this issue on virtuemart forum to see if they already encountered already this issue and if they solved it, one thing here is certain it has nothing to do with the template itself.
